About Prana and Shazia
My heart is full of gratitude for all the teachers and beings that have helped and guided me in my journey of becoming a healer. Healing and teaching have become the most fulfilling path for me.

I am certified in Visionary Craniosacral Work™ by Hugh Milne, a third generation Osteopath who was very gracious to teach me that visionary school encompasses all ways of understanding and working with the Craniosacral system (including Biodynamic, Energetic, Mechanical and Shamanic.)

In my healing practice, I integrate Cranial work with Vedik Healing for balancing pranas in Craniosacral System and to create a unique meditative experience for restoring health and wellness.

I have been fortunate to learn the art of Vedik healing in traditional way from a Nath yogi (lineage of Maha-Yogi Gorakhnath and Sage Yagnavalkya) in India and also from Dr. Vasant (preeminent Physician and Professor of Ayurveda, in Albuquerque, NM).

Currently, I am pursing a Doctoral degree in Yoga Philosophy and Meditation from Vedic Hindu University. I believe that the energy which pulsates through our the Craniosacral System has same essence as the one which shifts our awareness to higher states of consciousness and guides us to restore our health, and wellness.

Any healing experience is always accompanied by a shift in the awareness of people involved in the process. If we can bring the required shift-in-awareness then healing occurs naturally.

It is true Yoga has changed me, it has transformed my life, who I am, and the way I think. It has taken me way beyond the physical postures of yoga and allowed me to honor the being I see everyday in the mirror.

I feel blessed being married to my wonderful and kind healer husband, Prana. Life changed after marriage as I opened my heart and mind to Ayurveda, Vegetarianism, Yoga, Meditation, and Holistic Healing. I found my spirituality in yoga and meditation.

Trained in classical Hatha and therapeutic yoga, I teach mindful yoga for a balanced body and mind, honoring body’s limits. I teach Hatha yoga, restorative & gentle yoga, and therapeutic yoga with compassion, love and healing in a safe and nurturing environment. I help people with physical limitations, size limitations, injuries, trauma, rehab, surgery recovery, seniors, pain management, or with other health challenges with therapeutic yoga that focuses on breath work, gentle yoga, stretches, meditation and healing.

I am also an Ayurvedic Chef. Food plays a vital role in our health, balance, healing and rejuvenation. We are what we eat. I cook food according to Ayurvedic principles, your personal constitution, your health concerns and in accordance with weather. I teach Ayurvedic cooking classes and offer Ayurvedic Cooking Consultations based on your dosha. I also offer weekly cooking services for you and your family.

At this time in my life, I can not think of doing anything else other than help people in learning and “experiencing” yoga like I have. I make this offering of teaching yoga to any one whom it might help to open new doors of healing, enlightenment and self-realization. I feel very blessed to be part of this sacred ancient tradition. I humbly thank everyone who has been part of my journey, and especially my students who trust me every day.
